About Dr. Meriden...
Dr.
Terry Meriden is a
Board Certified
Internist and an
Endocrinologist. He is a consultant in Diabetes and
Metabolism and is a specialist in the diseases of the
internal glands and hormones such as Thyroid, Adrenal,
Pancreas, female and male glands, obesity, high blood
pressure, cholesterol and others.

After his training at the
University of London, England, he took his
Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the
University of Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Meriden is
Clinical
Assistant
Professor of Medicine at the
University of Illinois.
He
was honored and became a
Fellow of the
American College of Physicians. More recently his achievements were recognized
and he became a
Fellow of the
American College of
Endocrinology.
He received many awards from the American Diabetes
Association, the American Medical Association and the
American Cancer Society. Dr. Meriden is active in teaching
and research. He has published a number of articles in
national and international medical journals. In 1985, he was
President of the
American Diabetes Association,
Downstate Illinois. In 1986, he was elected as a member of
the National Board of Directors of the American Diabetes
Association based in Washington D.C. and he also received
the outstanding diabetes educator award. Later he was
elected to the Editorial Board of the National
Diabetes
Forecast magazine and
Clinical Diabetes.
Dr. Meriden served as
consultant on the
Diabetes
Advisory
Board to the Governor of Illinois.
Dr. Meriden is married and his wife, Lena, is an Interior Designer.
They have two daughters, Zina and Lana. Dr. Meriden has special interest
in music and sports. He enjoys classical music, jazz, as
well as playing piano and tennis.
